Journal — today’s note
Write a short note about what happened today, how you felt, and any small insights.
Getting started— Your first 10 minutes with Fragment (demo)
Fragment is a quiet notebook for thinking with AI. You don't need a perfect system on day one. In your first 10 minutes, it's enough to write one Fragment in the demo Studio, give it a simple name and tags, and add a tiny AI config in YAML.
In the demo Studio, nothing is saved to the server. Close the tab and everything disappears — so you can experiment freely.
A gentle path: create one Fragment → name and tag it → add one tiny AI setting. You can learn the deeper structure later in the docs.
Step 1
Start by creating just one Fragment in the demo Studio. Don't worry about structure or quality. The goal is simply to have one place that holds how things feel today.
Write a short note about what happened today, how you felt, and any small insights.
Capture the work, study, or personal project that is on your mind right now.
Describe how you’d like AI to talk with you and where it should be careful.
Step 2
Once your first Fragment exists, give it a short title, a few tags, and 2–3 lines about how you want AI to respond on this page.
Choose a simple, honest title (for example: “This week — rough notes”) and 2–3 tags you'll actually use later, such as journal, project, or idea.
In Fragment, you can write a small YAML block that tells AI who it should be on this page: what tone to take, and what to avoid.
prism:
persona:
name: "Your name"
role: "gentle thinking partner"
tone:
style: "calm, concrete"
boundaries:
avoid:
- "guilt-tripping"
- "very strong advice without options"This is the first step toward a reusable Prism profile for this page — written in your own words, not in formal spec language.
Step 3
A Fragment can be read in more than one way. After you write your first page, try one alternate view — an outline, a slide-like view, or a simple time-based group.
Turn your headings into a simple outline. Helpful as a talk track, meeting agenda, or a first sketch of slides.
Show one key point per “slide”. From there, it's easy to copy into PowerPoint or Keynote if you need polished slides later.
Group Fragments by date or theme and see how a week or month evolved. Good for checking “what actually changed” over time.
Notebook
If you've read this far, you already have enough to begin. One real Fragment beats a perfect setup. Choose today's story, your current project, or a note about how you want AI to help — and write just one page in the demo Studio.
