For teams, labs, and partners

Practice — shared structure for real work.

Fragment Practice is a collaboration frame for using Fragment together — in teams, labs, classrooms, and long-term partnerships. It's less about “learning a tool” and more about designing a shared structure for thinking that both humans and AI can read.

Fragment Practice

You don't have to change everything at once. We usually start with one meeting, one project, or one class and see how a simple shared structure feels in real work.

What we mean by “Practice”

When we say Fragment Practice, we mean the ongoing work of designing, using, and adjusting the way thinking is written down — not just dropping a new app into your stack. A Practice is something you keep returning to together, until it feels natural in your week.

On this page, you'll find where Fragment Practice tends to fit, and how to start small — with one meeting, one project, or one class, instead of trying to redesign everything at once.

Where Fragment Practice is a good fit

Fragment Practice works best where decisions, learning, or care depend on how you write and share context — not just on the final outputs. The illustration below shows four common places where a small shared structure tends to help.

Teams and projects

Use Fragment for decisions, reviews, and recurring meetings: one Fragment per topic or decision. YAML front-matter keeps assumptions and scope; Markdown holds the discussion itself.

If this sounds close to your team, we can sketch a small pilot around one recurring meeting.

Labs and research groups

Treat each Fragment as a small, reproducible unit: hypothesis, conditions, notes, and what changed. AI can then help summarise or compare experiments without losing the original structure.

We're especially interested in research collaborations that study this pattern over time.

Education and classes

Use one Fragment per class or workshop: objectives, outline, activities, and follow-up notes. From there, slides, handouts, and AI helpers can all read from the same page.

We can start from one class or workshop and see how it feels for teachers and students.

Consulting and coaching

Keep session notes, context, and boundaries in one Fragment per client or project. Prism profiles make “how far we go” explicit, so humans and AI stay within the same lines.

If you work with clients, we can co-design one shared format for notes and decisions.

How we usually start: one small experiment

Instead of a big roll-out, we prefer one focused experiment over a few weeks. Together we pick a narrow setting, design a simple Fragment format, and see how it feels in everyday work.

  1. 1. Choose one setting

For example: a weekly meeting, a research project, one class, or one client. Clear edges make it easier to see what changes.

  2. 2. Design one Fragment format

We co-design a single page structure: YAML for assumptions, Markdown for the story, and Prism / Scene / Flow only if they truly help.

  3. 3. Try it for a few weeks

After using it in real work, we review together: did it help decisions, alignment, or reflection? From there, we either refine or keep it small.

Ways we can work together

Depending on your context, collaboration can stay very light or become more involved. A few common patterns:

Light support

A short call to shape one small experiment, plus a few example Fragments and templates you can adapt on your own.

Pilot with check-ins

A 4–8 week pilot with regular check-ins: we refine the Fragment formats, adjust Prism profiles, and collect what you learn into a small internal guide.

Deeper partnership

For teams, labs, or schools that want to build long-term practices, we can co-design structures, training material, and even custom templates together.

Research & experiments

We're especially interested in collaborations that study how structured notes change decision-making, learning, or well-being over time.

Want to try Fragment Practice in your context?

If you're curious about using Fragment with a team, lab, class, or client, we can design a small experiment together and keep the structure as simple as possible at first.
